7 years ago I recruited some folks and started the farm site at yesler SHA site. which led to the creation of Ground- up Organics and how they came to be at Yesler SHA site.
7 years ago I also pitched the idea of starting a farm market and CSA in the central district to Rev. Jeffery and his staff and I did the original work that led to the creation of Clean Greens.
I am also a former member of the KCFFI program that was based in west Seattle.
I consider myself to be a Community Land Steward and farmer.
over 200 jobs and a lot of food have directly come from projects I started.
Few if any folks know about by efforts in the community and how my vision of a sustainable food system led to food production and jobs in Seattle.
